 Police in Rubirizi district are hunting for suspected robbers who allegedly attacked a 45 year old man, cut him badly and took off with his shs 2,000.

The Victim is Ndagano Benard a resident of Kasungu Cell, Kasarara Ward in Rubirizi Town Council who is alleged to have been attacked by yet to be identified robbers at around 2am on 12th January 2025 on his way from bar going back home.

Its alleged the deceased was attacked by two men who cut him on the forehead, left arm, the back and the neck as he approached his Aunt Nshekanabo Mirania’s home. He was rushed to Rugazi Health Centre 4 for treatment but his condition deteriorated and he was rushed to KIU Hospital Ishaka for better management as he required a CT Scan to be done.

A Case Of Aggrevated Robbery was opened at Nyakasharu Police Station and is being investigated under Rubirizi CRB. 14/2025.
The Scene was visited by a team of detectives, examined, documented and relevant statements recorded.

The Greater Bushenyi Police Spokesperson SSP Marcial Tumusiime confirmed the incident stressing that inquiries are still at hand.
